Jake Schermerhorn

Social Studies Adolescence Education Major Jacob Schermerhorn spent the summer of 2013 as an intern working at the Philadelphia History Museum. His work included assisting summer camp and adult visiting groups, creating three separate gallery guide workbooks, editing the "Beyond the Museum" brochure, researching the history of movies set in Philadelphia for a feature event, helping install an exhibition about the Philadelphia LGBT movement, drafting articles for the newsletter, sending out fundraising letters, working at the front desk, and participating in professional events with the National Museum of Jewish History and the Philadelphia Historical Society.
