Model elevation: Esri's ArcGIS 10 (ArcMap and ArcScene) was used to create this topographic map of the Cassadaga Valley of Western New York. A 30-meter digital elevation model (DEM) captured as part of the Space Shuttle Endeavor's February 2000 Shuttle RADAR Topography Mission (SRTM) was used. The DEM, as part of the National Elevation Dataset (NED) was downloaded from the U.S. Geological Survey's Earth Explorer website.
