- Faculty & Staff
ANGEL Learning Management System workshops cover a variety of topics. We strongly recommend that you take either the Introduction to ANGEL or the ANGEL for Groups workshops before you take the others unless you are comfortable with the basics of ANGEL.
Introduction to ANGEL (1.5 hours)
This 1.5 hour introductory workshop is geared toward faculty use of ANGEL for courses. Jargon, rules, features, navigation, essential course settings and how to add content are the main topics covered in this workshop. With a focus on navigation and basic course management, this workshop is for those who are teaching who want to get started with ANGEL.
ANGEL Drop Boxes (1 hour)
This workshop covers creating and using ANGEL drop boxes to collect, comment on, grade, and return digital documents all through the drop box. Also covered are directions to share with students and naming conventions for files.
ANGEL Assessments (2 hours)
This workshop will show you how to create a variety of assessments using ANGEL. Learn how to create and access a question bank, import a Word document into the assessment tool, and link assessment results to the gradebook. Bring current questions and enter them during the workshop.
ANGEL Gradebook (1.5 hours)
ANGEL features a gradebook that not only records and calculates student grades, but also allows the students to view their individual grades. The first part of this workshop covers the gradebook features. The second half is a working session so faculty may set up a gradebook with guidance and assistance. Faculty members will leave with a completed gradebook for one course so please be sure to bring your assignments and point values for one of your courses to this workshop.
Ready for More ANGEL (1 hour)
Have you mastered the basics of ANGEL and you are ready to see the next great features that ANGEL has to offer? Have you heard of someone doing something in ANGEL that you would like to try? Ready for More ANGEL! will demonstrate some of the more advanced features with plenty of time for the "How do I do this?" questions.
ANGEL Rubrics (1 hour)
This workshop is for those who have already taken other ANGEL workshops, such as Introduction to ANGEL, ANGEL Gradebook, etc. In an interactive manner you will be shown how to create, upload, manage, and grade ANGEL rubrics. You will also learn how to copy and link ANGEL rubrics from one course to another, or from a repository to a course. *Please bring a digital copy of a rubric you have created for a course that you can convert into an ANGEL rubric.
