This Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in School District Leadership (SDL) is housed in the Department of Language, Learning, and Leadership of the College of Education. This advanced certificate is open to anyone who has completed the requirements for New York State School Building Leader Certification. Successful completion of this CAS allows a candidate to assume such roles as superintendent, assistant superintendent, district wide director, and other positions with district responsibilities. Completion also leads to a recommendation for certification as a School District Leader (SDL) in New York State.
This Certificate of Advanced Study program consists of six (6) credit hours of graduate level courses and the successful completion of the New York State School District Leader Certification Exam.
