There are many assessment-related efforts and initiatives taking place across the Fredonia campus. Each division (and the departments within) assesses their goals and outcomes on a yearly basis and provides information to leadership in an annual report. Additionally, academic departments undergo program review every five years. In general, each division, department, program, and service is responsible for gathering, organizing, and reporting evidence for their accomplishments and their contributions to the overarching mission of Fredonia.

Fredonia also participates in national/regional assessment efforts including the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) and SUNY's Student Opinion Survey (SOS).
